Enjoyment: I've really enjoyed the things I've done up until now (including solo sex)
Knowing what I like: I know how and where I like to be touched
Equipment: I know where to get a condom or dental dam from and how to use it
Trust: I'm with someone I trust, and we respect and care about each other
Communication: I feel I can talk to the person I'm with about sex
Maturity: We both feel mature enough to deal with any unintended consequences (E.g. if a condom breaks)LEGAL: the law says you need to be 16 to legally consent to sex
